Oculus CV1 user here, the frames are really inconsistent and really depends on the cloud cover. So flying over scotland was a juddery mess i had pause stop issue with frames. this was at 25000ft where frames were 25-30fps but there would be a pause normally 1-2 seconds. If i had audio on it would cut out which is interesting. then when lower than 3000ft the frames were in the low 10fps. Now this might be due to me enabling image sharpening in the AMD Radeon Software, i’ve used image sharpening previously and some times it was really good other times it was juddering. i still think there is issues with the game but it’s getting there.
Specs
Ryzen 3 2600x :- this is being upgraded to a 5600x, the 2600x is prone to bottlenecking
16gb Ram
5700XT
my settings in the MFS
Render Scale 80%
TAA 16x
Trees, Bushes, Roads = Low
4x4 Texture Sampling
Water = Medium to Low
Texture Rendering = Ultra
Clouds = High :- Performance Impact on Ultra
Shadows = 1024 with Contact Shadows High
Light Shafts = High
Windscreen Affects = High
Reflections = OFF :- This is an issue with seeing the blue horizon on water and grainy reflections.
Light Shaft = High
Also i have Oculus Tray Tool installed best frames is between 1.5 - 1.6 on the default super sampling anything higher cause massive performance issues, Having Vsync enabled on the PC on MSF can sometimes give you more consistent frames.
