VR FS24/20 in Linux nowadays experience/settings?

Searching now info, it is more advanced and possible even with the WMR HMDs like the HP G2, and continue using them in Linux, with SteamVR for Linux, and one program called Monado https://monado.dev/ and some other software. Even possible if I remember well reading with the MS-Store version.

I was expecting a Linux SteamOS for PCs with SteamVR, but reading some recent news of MS doing partnership with Steam for include it in Xbox, maybe I have more doubts, I had that hope this year with the possible launch of their next Valve VR HMD.

Valve will not alter their core development plans for the sake of Microsoft, or any other company for that matter. Valve’s history of neutrality is plainly visible with support of most VR devices, including their main competitor, Meta/Facebook. SteamOS is coming out regardless of what Microsoft does.

VR working in Linux with MS2024 relies on the foundation of VR working in MS2024 on any OS, which it decidedly does not. In a pleasant universe, Asobo will fix all the issues with VR and Valve will release SteamOS with support for nVidia cards on the very day Windows 10 expires. I doubt that will be the case, but it is nice to think about.
