VR glasses in MSFS microsoft store version help

Hello,

I have some VR glasses, or cardboard VR or what they are called. Its meant for use on the phone but i have got it working great with steam VR and Ivry, but i was woundering if anyone knows how i can get it to work in MSFS store version.

I dont have MSFS on steam so im not sure how or what i need, any tips?

Wow that’s crazy, I didn’t know you could make true mobile VR (like cardboard) work with steam VR.

If you really have steamVR working with it, you should be able to run MSFS in VR like any other steamVR game. That it’s the MS Store version makes no difference at all.

Just have steamVR running and then enter VR mode within the game.

Can’t imagine it’s a particularly nice experience compared to an actual VR headset though, but might be a nice way to get a first impression for free

Yeah its wild that you can use cardboard mobile VR on pc. I got it working eventually. Im new to this and my first time flying in VR and its amazing. Been wanting to get into VR for a while now and think im going to get the meta quest 3.

The image clarity is not so good, and performance too. Even though i have a 4080 super i think the phone is a bit of a bottlneck haha. Most gauges arent really readable even at highest resolution, however IL2 battle of stallingrad is the most ‘‘usable’’ VR flying experience for me at the moment.

Seems like game resolution has no effect, i dont really know how any of this works but i assume its not functioning like a proper VR headset.

Is the view turning when you turn your head? Or you’re just looking straight forward (like a monitor)?

It does move, about 180 degrees in all axes
