Do you see artifacts like the g2?

Why are you capping @ 30fps in your nVidia setup?

No artifacts !!!

I think it helps to keep stable 30fps without going up and down

Wow that’s amazing so basically smooth VR with only 30 FPS…That’s big!

It’s motion reprojection . It’s like flying with 90fps.

Thanks much for sharing! Plan to give it at go this weekend.

I too have an Aero and similar hardware to you GPU/CPU…note that on my system the Nvidia control panel FPS cap only impacts my 2d monitor/tv and has no impact at all on the VR headset. I have the Nvidia control panel at 60 fps as that’s the refresh rate of my tv, but in VR I am seeing 75-85 fps in rural areas (no motion reprojection option) as measured by the statistics window of varjo base and the fps counter in openxr toolkit. If I use reprojection in varjo base then of course it does scale down to either 30 or 45 fps…so you can likely try to stop using the nvidia control panel setting entirely as I don’t think it matters. I suppose capframe ex testing would confirm that (great program by the way, easy to use and measure stats on the gpu). Thanks for the post here and on FB with your settings, I will try them out. Most of mine are the same as yours with the notable difference of the resolution override you are doing in openxr toolkit so I will try that. Thanks again for the post with detailed screenshots.

Motion reprojection does smooth things out but everything looks like it jello when you move your head. Very distracting.

How did you set shadows maps at 4096 ? That setting is not available with the default settings.

You have to edit usercfg file and change it there in vr section shadow maps

I have edited with Notepad++ but when I start the sim reverts to 2048. Any thoughts ?

Right click the file choose properties and tick the read only. Apply and you’re good to go

:+1: :slightly_smiling_face: Thank you.
