This has worked AMAZINGLY for me!
Go to the CAMERA section and turn down both cockpit Freelook sliders to 0 and save and restart. My stutters are completely gone.
Interested to hear how it goes for others.
EDIT: I have no idea why this worked for me but it stopped working for me so, yeh, disregard I guess!!!

Could you remind me tonight to try that?
I guess a screenshot will have to do… xD

Freelook Speed always stays in 10 as minimum, that´s normal?
Then a bit upper there is an option called Free Look Mode that is in “TOGGLE”
Edit: my stutters in 2D are the same, in some hours I will test in VR, and now moving the view with the mouse it is very slow.
Re edit: Setting in Mouse options Sensitivity to 100 cured the slow motion.

Interesting. I don’t have stutters in VR, so I can’t test this. What happens if you crank the sliders up to max?

Interesting idea! I will try that out when I’m back at the machine.

Oh right. You may be right, it could be that 10 is the min. Hmm, didn’t work for you huh? The settings mess of this sim really is just a ball of black magic.

Freelook Speed is 10, Freelook Momentum is zero.

Could be his issue is caused by something else. Interested to have @RomanDesign test this.

I’ll try anything, why not? I will respond if I get any results

I tried this yesterday. No improvement with stutters. In fact, I had some of my worst stutters and blackouts last night and today ending in CTD’s (usually when I either exit vr at end of session or today when going into drone view). But it greatly improved my pilot cockpit seat adjustments (keyboard arrows) by slowing and smoothing it down to now be very accurate.
Strange results. So this was in VR right?
Didn’t notice any difference after trying it…
Strange. Doesn,t seem to be doing anything for anyone else. I turned them up to max and my stutters were crazy. I turned them back down and it is the smoothest panning around I have seen since I started!
@RomanDesign Did you ever find a solution to smooth out the stutters while turning on the ground in VR?
I’m locked to 45 fps with RTSS using DX12 (DX11 performs worse on my system) and performance is great but I would LOVE to get rid of the stutters on the ground once and for all while turning.
Nothing definitive yet, but I concentrated on airport development lately. Need to revisit the experience after the recent updates etc.
After trying most if not all of the fixes that are talked about in forums and YouTube I’ve been having consistent smoothness in VR generally since the dawn of FS VR by following this guy’s recommendations. Including addon airports such as Inibuilds EGLL and FSLTL.
I have another issue though of CTDs when coming out of VR, after the sim reset after aircraft post flight switch off or sometimes if I come out of VR with the headset on.

RTX 3080ti

DX11
Reverb G2
Ahh yes the endless pursuit for a VR stutter-free Holy Grail continues (im guilty as well)
In my experience the best stutter eliminator is 4090 (if you can afford it).

I got my 4090 recently, and expected my life to be changed (G2, 5800x3D + 32 gb RAM). It has been pretty bloody great, don’t get me wrong, but it isn’t the silver bullet. It gave me some more frames and the ability to pump some more resolution through the headset and turn up some settings, but the VR still isn’t perfect by any means. I think the problem is that we adjust so quickly. It is far and away from the first machine I started on, but my eyes and mind have adjusted really quick and I still notice a few things here and there. I think VR is hard because it is taking over all our…well, reality…so we are so much more sensitive and demanding of the experience. The 4090 just smashes other games into outer space and they are all incredible, even the flat screen sim is amazing (Track IR still makes it look a bit strobey for some reason) - but the VR…just feels like it isn’t gonna ever be perfect until the sim is better optimised. I still love it though. Closest I’m gonna get to swooping low across the coast of Cape Verde in a AT-6 Gunslinger!!!
