Whatever I do, the Vsync On and Frame Rate Limiter in the Sim doesn’t work anymore, i get horrible screen tearing. I already reinstalled the latest nvidia driver. Odd enough, sometimes it works but most of the time not. Maybe a problem with the new windows update for Windows 11?
Try restoring defaults in Nvidia control panel. If you have Vsync set to OFF in the NCP, the game Vsync settings will be ignored.
?? no … I only set V-Sync in-game and it works.
Is your report about the SU10 BETA ?
And somewhere in forum I seen a report about the latest win11 update and some issues, but I not followed that in deepth.
What kind of monitor you own and which settings you currently did ?
Thanks for the replies, I’ve already set everything to default, I’m using SU9. I use a Samsung U28E850.
hmm… a 60hz 4K monitor, and you come over 60fps in 4K ?
Have you Free-Sync enabled ? I personaly have no good experiance with Free-Sync.
Beside of V-Sync settings what you can try is to set in nvidia control the max-fps to 60 ( some users use that as v-sync replacement too ). And in that way don’t forget to set max-background to 20, should be enough if the game is not in-focus.
Did you try it? Set Vsync = OFF in the NCP. Not the default Use 3D App setting, but OFF.
the default setting in ncp related to v-sync is “let application decide”. But, in meanwhile I think I missunderstand what you meant. If users change that manually to Off, then it force V-Sync to Off allways. If you meant that, you are right
I’ve rolled back the Nvidia Driver and now it works again.
Yes, last Nvidia game driver update was pretty bad.
I rolled back to current studio and seems fine again for now.
