Vsync here or there, and percente of refresh, and locked to FPS (FS2020 vs NCP)

What is the difference using Vsync in game (and maybe set to 50 percent of refresh, personally I used to only set Vsync, or have Vsync disabled since my gsync compat screen seemed to like that more) OR use in NCP Gsync technology (not sure what its called) in the customized appsettings, and then choose Vsync ON (still in NCP). I have found the later giving MUCH more fluid gameplay. But I dont understand why. For now, I have NOT set any limitation in fps in NCP. Not sure I need to do that?

RTX 3060 Ti + Ryzen 5600X + 144Hz LG Screen. Native 2560 x 1440, DLSS–>DLAA (nice way to get rid of most of the flickering going on)

Could someone pls explain ? =)

If you have a G-Sync compatible graphics card and a G-sync compatible monitor then you shouldn’t need vsync on at all and the monitor will refresh when its told to by the graphics card.

I had big problems with flickering too though when trying to use G-sync but I found that the problem was g-sync not enabled in my monitor settings.

I have a Samsung Odyssey G9 and there are two settings that sound sound similar - 1) Adaptive Sync which was on by default and 2) VRR control (variable refresh rate control) which was off by default. Once I turned VRR control on I had no tearing or flickering anymore and Gsync seems to work great.
