It sure will be nice to know what the common denominator is…
That’s easy, it’s the gpu ![]()
For me it’s definitely not the driver, I’ve now tested 516.94 and the message is always the same. And under DX 12 it happens immediately when popping out. Zack message it’s up to SU10.
This happened when I installed the latest Nvidia driver 522…I reverted to the previous one and issue fixed for me
I reverted back to the previous driver as people have suggested but the problem persists. ![]()
The previous driver is not enough, following suggestions here I went back to 496.76
I´m not having any of those stutters that freeze you to death because the PC survives only 50% of them and the others are CTDs.
If I get one of the CTDs with 496.76 I’ll report it.
100% accurate.
I started getting this issue about last week, prior to this SU10 ran smoothly. Screen just freezes and audio keeps playing. Sometimes it happens right at loading in, sometimes an hour into the flight. Default/Addon aircraf/scenery does not matter. I even tried a completely fresh W11 install with a fresh MSFS install with no 3rd party addons what so ever. This is ridiculous, first the server caused CTD’s that was fixed via a windows update, now this… Don’t fix stuff if it is not broken, i just want to fly my planes man.

Just got this message for the first time on my side!!! Haven’t changed or done anything since yesterday. What’s up with this?
I have this problem as well, Any suggested/recommended fixes?
Bump
Good luck.
For users who are dropping back to older versions of video drivers, they should understand that they might be re-introducing security vulnerabilities that were fixed in newer versions of those drivers.
Just something to keep in mind…
It is 100% due to SU 10 nothing else I have tested everything. and the Hardware Accelerated Graphics isn’t either. Message comes with and without! You must fix it in SU 11!
Read an article on one of the tech sites this morning that indicated that the issue was either the win 11 update or possibly the latest nvidia drivers. But this was only for win 11 and Ive gotten it in win 10 as well, so I guess that rules out the windows update that caused it.
I rolled back my drivers to the possible earliest version of the 5.11 driver that has the vulcan version that I need for that other sim, and have not had one problem with them yet.
To prove that, I think, one would have to be able to take their MSFS back to the day before SU10 was released (probably via a system image or similar) and run it. So much else on our PCs, as well as on the MSFS servers, has also changed since then, that it still isn’t truly a scientific “double-blind” test, so to speak.
This is WRONG > Security vulnerabilities in a graphics card driver is so NOT a thing.
Oops … Well I guess it is… dont go earlier than May 2022*, last big vulnerability fixes I can find.
*512.78 was the big set of CVE fixes
I’ve been experiencing the problem on and off since SU10 but mainly when working with packages in dev mode. With SU11 beta I’m now struggling to complete a flight without this issue.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
