had this issue aswell, and only way to revert back and be able to change time in world map and weather from the top bar was subbing again, even though the the only thing you shouldn’t be able to do without a live subscription is multiplayer

Just want to point out it was a very long time since I purchased the sim and I was able to select weather presets through numerous updates. SU11 was the update that broke it without a subscription.

This fits my case. I had Xbox Live and purchased MSFS. I hope this info helps with the bug fixing.

@Hester40MT @DementedCorn327 Issue is back! I allowed my xbox live subscription to expire today and the issue is 100% back. Can not toggle weather presets without Xbox Live subscription.

can confirm aswell, after xbox live run out can’t change time from world map nor change the weather once the flight is started

You need a subscription to either Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold to have any online functionality in the sim while on console, regardless if you own the standalone sim or not.

Brief description of the issue:
Live weather is off from both places. Multiplayer is off as I do not have Gamepass. The weather presets are greyed out.

No screens needed. It’s an issue facing all those on Xbox who do not have multiplayer privileges.

On the world map, it is impossible to select presets or custom weather while, specifically, the Multiplayer Data option is disabled (see screenshot), but only if Multiplayer traffic was selected in the world map initially.
Only Live Weather is available in this condition, which doesn’t make any sense at all.

- Start with all Data options on in the options menu
- Go to world map, turn on Multiplayer, Live ATC, and Live Weather should automatically enable itself.
- Go to the Data options menu and disable Multiplayer only.
- Go to the world map and try to choose a preset. Observe that Multiplayer traffic is disabled automatically, but Live Weather is stuck on.

FYI, this bug is also present in the PC version and topic should be marked as bug-logged, not feedback-logged.
If you’ve ever selected “live players”
and turned off multiplayer in the data settings, you won’t be able to select a weather profile due to a bug - weather presets greyed-out.
The workaround is to enable multiplayer, apply the changes, then select “all players.”
After that, you can turn off multiplayer again and save changes.

I’m facing the very same issue! I just cannot load manual weather presets no matter what I do. I do not have Xbox live/gamepass.
Without an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Core subscription, the multiplayer mode in MSFS 2020 will not work on Xbox consoles. As a result, the ability to select the weather preset will also be unavailable.
Please report this issue to MSFS support for further assistance.
Oh that’s interesting. So I have to have Gamepass or X.Live to be able to use this feature in FS?
If selecting a weather preset on Xbox consoles only works with multiplayer enabled and/or a paid subscription, it seems like a bug to me. I mentioned this above and included screenshots.
