You need to select multiplayers ON in General Settings/Data and OFF in Flight Conditions

Tried that. I’ve been mostly following other posts from this forum and unfortunately none of the fixes worked for me.

Tried messing with settings, resetting the console’s cache, running online/offline with no luck. Only haven’t tried resubbing to gold and a reinstall.

Also tried that. Right now I’ll run the game off of a fresh install and see if it makes a difference. Though I’m really suspicious the update bugged out since last time I played I had Gold and multiplayer settings enabled.

To confirm, fresh install, toying with online settings in options and flight plan don’t work. No add ons are currently installed. Playing offline also doesn’t fix the issue. Deleting Xbox cache also did nothing. This issue started after the latest update.

I’m not going to resub for gold at this moment. My online play settings were all on, prior to the update and I suspect it might have been locked in somehow. Unfortunately the multiplayer buttons aren’t available unless you have a subscription. Clicking the off button in flight plan doesn’t do anything.

I can only get live weather and adjust time of the day. Which means if I want rain I’d have to fly somewhere else. Sucks!

Ok, thanks for posting your result that unfortunately did not fix your issue. Really weird situation, it looks like your setup is stuck on multiplayers where all have to use the Live weather and that is why presets/custom weather options are grayed out. Also presets/custom weather should not require any type of additional subscription since no muItiplayers is required. I saw your video on reddit of you Flight Conditions setup. By any chance could you also post a screenshot or video of your General Configuration/Data screen ?

Just read on here subbing to live fixed it. For my sanity’s sake I’ll give it a go in a few hours.

Paying for Xbox Live $9.99 This is literally the only thing left since the save is cloud based and I have no access to it. I strongly believe (hope I’m right) that if I resubscribe I’ll then be able to toggle through multiplayer options and finally have this resolved.

It’s fixed, friend. Turns out I had to subscribe to Xbox live in order to undo stuck settings. I’ll keep an eye out for when my subscription is about to expire. By then I’ll have multiplayer off and hopefully it doesn’t happen again.

Great !, So now It would be useful to have like a confirmation from Asobo or maybe a forum moderator that in order to get access to live weather preset and custom weather for XBox users, a subscription to XBox live is mandatory. Or if not, this issue should be reported as a bug (I am using a PC so don’t face that situation).

I played it free on Ultimate for a few days and then bought it digitally.

When you bought MSFS, was it through Xbox using the same gamertag as your Xbox Live subscription?

Thank you. I do think this is how it works - where a subscription is required when on Xbox.

However, I’ve put a request into our Community Managers (Xbox/MS Employees) to confirm if this is the case or not.

But is it logic (and fair) that XBox users that bought the sim cannot access presets/custom weather functionalities ? and the only solution is to pay for a monthly XBox Live subscription ?. What other functionalities are locked if they don’t subscribe ?
There is another post reporting that online functionality and bing world graphic data are greyed out on xbox. Is that could be the same issue ?

If it is the case, then an offical communication from Asobo or MS should be sent to all XBox users. I am seeing others posts in the Community Support/Weather forum about same issue, users tried many things without any success.
