Was the photogrammetry cities bug fixed?

Hi All,

Apologies for making a post if this is well known, but several searches haven’t turned up the answer. Has SU10 fixed the bug where photogrammetry cities being enabled tanks your fps, and you need to disable the various cities in your content manager individually? Thanks.

It actually seems to have, yes!

I even tested turning the DLSS off and it still seems to have been fixed. Finally!!

Great news, thank you!

It looks like they corrected the connection lost issues but the Photogrammetry situation is still an issue. Go to Toronto CYTZ and look at downtown. It’s a buttery mess. I have data cache set to 32gb on a 1 GB fiber line so I know that bandwidth is not my issue. Same issue in Vancouver and other areas.

Agreed! And TO is a complete mess! CN Tower has a massive tumour dangling from its observation deck lol! Shame on them for treating the second largest city (only to NYC) on the continent in this neglected manner, and for a big Canada update. That said, install Roman Designs free Toronto and Area Package available on Flight Sim TO! It’s not totally up to date (I’ve begged Roman to do, and to charge for it $), to no avail as yet. But it corrects and adds so many buildings and CN Tower etc… Without it, TO is unflyable.
Love to see some major 3rd party addons for our cities!:canada:

SU10did not fix photogrammetry issue at CYTZ. WUX1 maginfied the mess. I disable Photogrammetry and fly around in DX 9. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Definitely not fixed.

Melted building’s and poor performance.

Photogrammetry requires a really good CPU and good internet bandwidth (50mbps or better, it maxes out my 75mbps connection).

Read bbsmith’s post!!!

Not asking the quality of Photogrammetry or whether it’s any good or not. It’s asking if the FPS hit from having them enabled has been fixed. And it appears it has.

Please save post about the quality of Photogrammetry for another thread.

Yes it was fixed. You no longer lose fps near ground level at places a thousand miles from where the installed photogrammetry files are supposed to modify the scenery. At least it did for me. I tested it closely. It used to be awful in SU9. Unless you deleted the photogrammetry cities files in content manager. In SU 10 beta the effect was just not there. No difference between all WU photogrammetry files being installed or not in content manager.

By the way this issue has no relation as to whether photogrammetry is turned on or off in MSFS general options.

Right on Brother. TO is a mess. I love flying CYTZ to areas around Niagra falls and this is a real disappointment. Hope it gets fixed soon.

For me (80+ mbps) PG looks melted. it seems only on custom flights though. If i do discovery flights, everything Looks Sharp…

Community already on it

These are just the tip of the iceberg! :+1:
There’s so many Canadian fixes, but most are older. I prefer RomanDesigns Freeware Toronto Enhancement includes entire TO and area, Mississauga, Oakville and Niagara. Still works well with SU10 and new Canada update. I keep photogrammetry on because without it, it’s FSX all over again lol!
