Water (Sea)

Hello, can you see the water move (motion) in MSFS2020?

Hi @HeartyOrca50914
Mostly yes.
Here’s a screenshot of the winds at about 20 knots over the pacific ocean. You can see some whitecap. It should be even more obvious with higher surface-level winds.

Can I kindly ask what are your specifications for ‘Ultra’ settings?

I hope this is not off topic but, speaking of water… I find the visuals of the water in FS2020 very good and miles above past FS versions. However, the actions of taking off and landing float/amphibeasn aircraft on water is horrible. For instance, when I land the Cessna or XCub float versions, the bouncing is intense. In fact, even landing at close to stall speed the plane bounces so severely that by the 3rd bounce it often registers as a crash and I have to start over.
Taking off is also very turbulent. The bigger, heavier float planes are a little less severe but still far from reality.
It is shocking that the sim, even after 5 years, still has this bug. With so many floatplanes included in the default sim you would think someone at Asobo would have noticed.

I have a low/medium configuration: Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM, RTX2060.
So I’ve started with the “Medium” predetermined setup and adjusted some options depending on what is important or not for me.

Is this a low-specification pc? I am a medium specification pc, and I won’t be able to get ‘Ultra’ settings.

(You can see my specifications in another post)

Based on that article, I would consider my pc for FS2020 as a medium config (Recommended Spec NVIDIA):

So strange.

My specifications are as follows:

CPU

Intel(R) Core™ i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz

GPU

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

SSD(s)

Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB
Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2TB

Memory(RAM)

32GB

However, I have to lock my fps at 50 because otherwise my monitor blacks out (not sure why). I have a higher-spec than an ‘Ideal’ Spec, which I still experience low fps at certain airports and very laggy in my case.
