In msfs 2024 the water turns white, then turns back. I have reinstalled the game and turned off/deleted the few add ons that I had.
Could it be a hardware issue? I use a 6750 xt.
It sort of makes the game unplayable.
When you uninstalled the sim, did you remove the leftover folders?
If not, you could try that.
If that wasn’t the issue, this was probably saved to the cloud, and it returned with the reinstall.
The only way to get rid of something that is cloud saved involves deleting the cloud save.

Make sure you note the warning in the procedure before starting.
I don’t think it leaves any for you to remove. ?
That’s a good tip, but it didn’t work, unfortunately.
Gemini ai is suggesting some cache cleanup. I have no choice but to dive into that rabbit hole…
Meh1951: yepp, there certainly is, for some reason…
If you removed the leftover folders, and did the cloud save clear, I think that should have cleaned your sim’s cache.
Either way, it didn’t work. I don’t understand what the hell I’m supposed to do now.
Is your Community folder still present?
It is now, after installing the game again. It’s empty now, one of the first things I did was to delete the content, indeed the whole folder was removed. I only had two things in there: a bridge and some trees for volcanoes…
I feel like I have purged the pc of any msfs2024 stuff, at least two times.
Maybe unrelated (but maybe not…)
Lately (since SU6 possibly) I have a bunch of water areas (around Seattle and Vancouver so far) that have ridges or sudden elevation changes in the water and when landing or taking off or maneuvering in a seaplane cause the plane to crash. I was always impressed by the improved water in FS2024 but this recent issue is making a lot of seaplane friendly areas non usable. It’s not all bodies of water and it may be intermittent (I’m still trying things/places). Anybody else seeing similar things?
Well, now I definitely want to try landing with a sea plane when the error occur. ![]()
I’m starting to think this is a hardware issue. I’m completely lost.
