I have asked one of the CMs, the answer, in short, is we are not entirely sure if it would break the sims user licence agreement. However, I am sure it would break the forum rules quoted above, so if someone does create something please do not distribute it here.
And there is a good chance it will eventually break the simulator. Don’t forget that MSFS is largely an online game. I’m pretty sure that there are server-side modifications we aren’t aware of which come with the software updates.
How about a mod to roll the updates back
