No matter what I do my scenery is middle of summer and my time is off by about 3 hours. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance. I live in Ohio and the trees should be bare and the grass should be brown. Instead the trees are in full bloom and the grass is bright green. Also the time is off by about three hours. When you go into your flight conditions (on the main map) you can set the sim to „live“. This setting should be sticky. If you set it to anything but live the time may default to something else.

There are no seasons in default MSFS. It is always summer as far as vegetation goes, although you will get snow on the ground if you use live weather and spawn in an area where snow has fallen in the real world.
There are two payware add-ons that will change the vegetation with the seasons - one by a fellow named Bijan, and one by Rex. Both are in the mid 20 dollar price range. Both add-ons affect trees but not grass.
Native support for seasons in planned sometime in 2022.
If your time is consistently off by three hours when you load into the sim, your Windows time zone is set incorrectly. In Windows, (not the sim) open the time setting menu and insure your time zone is set to Eastern Standard Time (if you are in Ohio), and the computer clock is set to the current local time.
Windows 10 set to -7 GMT which is the Eastern Time Zone.
Thanks for the scenery info. You would think that the change of seasons should have been factored in from the beginning but I guess there are a million other things to think about.

No. The Eastern time zone is GMT -5, not -7.
GMT -7 is the Mountain time zone.
Yes you are correct and that is what it is currently set at. Sorry for the confusion, trying to do too many things at once.Thanks for the correction.

I agree. Setting time in Weather then closing the map and the plane now is set to fly in the dark. I’m tired of trying to guess the time for flying. This is getting old and not fun…
