Weather for me is improved, Copilot seems to be handling ATC traffic better

On Diego Garcia, there was a heavy thunderstorm. The lightning was sharp and fast. Previously, when there was a ligntning flash closeby, it seemed pixillated and the image lasted a bit too long. Now it is much sharper. The heavy rain as told by ATIS still could be depicted as heavier, but I see it improving.
Copilot seems to behaving better. As I was approaching the runway for takeoff, the copilot initiated takeoff request. She needed a second prompt to connect to Mauritius center, but responded before I could. It’s my understanding that whenever I hear the copilot’s voice, they should have initiated the radio traffic, not the pilot. I’ll see how the rest of the flight goes…

Update>>> flight went well until ATC assigned me an approach to HSSK. I asked for the same runway but a different approach. ATC assigned me the approach, but I never heard back from them, and the only selection I had was to ask for vectors, which I did not need. There always should be a fuller ATC menu. Khartoum also only had the centerline illuminated, which made the final interesting until I could make out the runway.

My first two flights with Live weather on 1.7.6.0 SU5 beta1 made me hopeful. The clouds could have been better but I was flying into KPIA and its METAR said CLR but ATIS was reporting an overcast at 18,000 feet which matched what I thought should be there and it was pretty much what I saw. This sim rarely does higher altitude overcasts. I then went to KSFO and although there were some super dark and heavy clouds around SFO itself, at the northern end of the bay there was a moderately nice looking layout with several layers. The problem was that the PG looked pretty bad.

Subsequent flights with live weather have all given me incorrect weather (wrong clouds at wrong altitude) and its all looked pretty much the same as what we’ve had.

There may be slight improvement but very little and if its the cause of the scenery degredation I see then its not worth it.

I am so tired of super dark contrasty or high altitude scribbly weird clouds.
