Hallo,
I have a question about simulating weather in msfs2024. I am searching for the perfect combo to get The most REALISTIC weather in msfs2024.
Today i am using active sky with realturb and since today, rex atmos core in msfs2024.
I am using active sky cause i am thinking that active sky is simulating more turbulence correctly then the default weather. is this correct?
Can someone tell me what i need to use to get the full turbulence simulated in the sim with the best or most realistic weather…?
Thanx!
You have it there. I suggest getting FSRealistic also if you don’t have it.

Unfortunately, turbulence is lacking a huge part in MSFS: cloud turbulence. Just another thing in the long list of things promised in pre-launch presentations but not delivered.

What did you end up doing, i am facing the same trouble and was going to start a new topic..
I am reading mixed things regarding AS, also some say AS, some say real turb, others say atmos or all 3, some say fsrealistic.
There is little to no turbulence when in cruise in airlines, like 2020 really, not meaning to compare but if you have tried xplane its much better done, but surley one of the above will help?
Reviews all seem a bit mixed, i most reading atmos is a waste for 2024 because its already good, it was only worth using on 2020.
Real turb and AS, some are saying AS does give the cloud turbulence. Don’t really fancy throwing money at trying to fix if it doesn’t. I used to use AS with the older sims and it always worked well but since 2024 is supposed to be bells and whistles, it shouldn’t be needed.
Where is the cruise turbulence, its once again just like being on rails. No challenge or fun in the cruise.
I have used fsrealistic, but it seems to just amplify the camera effects during any sense of light chop, as opposed to having any real influence on the aircraft, other than it making it harder to click things because of the camera effects..

I am using Active Sky with Realturb.
It’s what i think the most complete way and now using Rex Atmos in su4 works really well!

ActiveSky does have turbulence settings.
They seem to work fine for me, but it’s not something I particularly look for when flying in the sim.

The aircraft your flying could well also play a part, using default 73/74 there had been more or less none which is what prompted me to start looking, but now im in the 777 the story seems quite different..
