Seems to be my mistake 
and you are right. Checking FS2020, Hybrid mode, wind speed is in Km/h and as per the Hybrid description you mentioned it makes sense since based on metric, only altitude unit of measure changes to feet. So a bug for me in FS2024.
My Windows is set to English as well as FS2024
Edit: I have found this Bug report Hybrid units using km and km/h instead of nm and kts, so maybe they changed the wind speed to Knots for Hybrid in SU2 and did not update the corresponding description ?
Going back to your original issue, have you tried to click on “Flight Conditions” and go back to the World map to check if weather details at the airports may have been refreshed ?
I know in SU2 they’ve made some adjustments to the weather interface so hopefully it will resolve that issue.
