Weight and Balance metric units

Still needed weight and Balance in metric units like the most of the world in aviation use. For me is this not nice to have more a Bug.

Nice regards Budy

Hi guys, first of all congratulations for the new FS  Great product!!!
Anyway I’m a bit upset about the lack of the metric units: honestly I think it’s quite absurd that a new flight simulator in 2020 doesn’t have the possibility to change the units (ft/lb to m/Kg or ft/Kg) like any other sim :frowning:

Please, make this possible.
Many thanks!

+1 I can’t work on lbs and gals! Give me kgs and litres!

Yes, it’s crazy not to have metric units in a new sim.
You American guys need to get out more!

I fully agree, to have he option for SI units is a must.

As PPL pilot myself, I can only state that this is kind of odd we are not allowed to switch to KG for the pax and bagages. I would say it’s a must.

+1 Metric weight, fuel volume and air pressure, as I use as an private pilot here in Europe

I hoped that this would have been patched in the 2nd patch, but as I read the patchnotes - it’s not. Again.

We really need an option to select the units when loading an aircraft in the menu.

Example: A32N

  • I regularly use “kg” for weights and fuel when planning and calculating a flight.
  • Our VA offers “kg” in their OFPs and in the Uplink (inflight status screen) to find theese numbers on the MFDs, because:
  • All weights in the FMGS/FMC of the A32N are “kg”(/tons). GW, FOB, ZFW, etc. even the whole INIT page.

Why on earth can’t we change the “lbs” in the loading menu to “kg”?
It’s not helpful to have the choice for “Gal/l” for the fuel, “kg” would be THE measurement of choice for everything.

It can’t be too difficult to integrate a unit change button or even an option in the Sim settings (Units: Metric/Imperial/Mixed e.g.). Every tool I know from Simbrief, PFPX or TOPCAT has the option to do so - why not the Sim itself?

So please consider this as a “fast done” service and try to offer it in the the October Patch.

Thank you!

Totally agree. All I ever use is metric as that’s all I use IRL - KG for weight, Nm for moment, Meter/KM runways, hPa for pressure…

Totaly agree and…
Another wish, why not a loadplanner , or at least that we can export our OFP from simbrief direct into the CDU in the aircraft like the Leonardos Flythemaddog ( super excelent programmed aircraft, it should be an template for all commercial aircraft)
