Weird textures in water

I’m getting weird texture in water, is there a setting that can fix this?
It comes and the fades away, most of the time its good.
I’m running Map Enhancement usually on Google maps but this happens on Bing maps too. I have stuff in Community folder but no other mods

this picture is stripes

sometimes its a weird texture like this

My settings

Radeon graphics card? I had similar issues on my R9 390 and suspected it was vram related.

Yes, RX 6900 XT, I’ve had it for a months and it just started doing this this week.
Only in the water and only in MSFS!

Other Radeon users have reported this on the forums. Not sure if there’s a solution.

and you set RenderScale to 80 with Full-HD :flushed:

This GPU idles most of the time, or ? … I mean just for Full-HD only is this GPU already overpowered .

What are the other specs of your PC ? I assume you can go much higher with the settings.

Related to the strange effect: you used google-maps-mod , thus ensure in each case, that your windows hosts file is “clean”. Also try clean the rolling.cache etc. … and of course, do a test without your mods in community-folder. But if it “comes and fades aways” , its may be a detail-level-thing. Just try the ultra setting for a test-run.

Specs:

  • AMD Ryzen 9 3900X @ 4.2GHz all cores
  • ASRock RX 6900 XT Phantom Gaming D OC
  • 64 GB Ram 3600MHz

Host file is clean, I delete rolling cache every time I start the Sim, I have not experienced this problem in a the last couple of times I’ve used it

then you also not need that, because you download the scenery new. So, you can disable rolling.cache or set only a small protion ( eg 2GB ) for the current flight ( depend whether you fly e.g. often in same area ).

And please set render-scale at least to 100 with your GPU… it can handle a lot more
The only thing where you must bit aware are settings which affects the CPU.
