Brief description of the issue:

Whenever I move the camera around, or zoom in and out, there is a weird vibration. This also happens while moving and makes the plane look like it is moving jaggedly if that makes sense lol.

If I see your effect properly, it could be the setting Motion Blur in General Options, Graphics.

Hey, thanks for the reply, that seems to fix the problem, but only for about 30 seconds. After that it happens again, and to fix it I
have to turn motion blur on and then off again.

Looking at your video, it reminds me of a similar problem I had with FSX some years ago. The problem was with the hat button on my joystick being stuck & continually sending signals to the game.
If the cause is with whatever game controller(s) you are using, I’d expect you to see this problem:

  • In every flight, irrespective of geographic location, type of flight (free-flight, discovery flight, activity, etc.) & condition (night / day/ any weather preset / multiplayer on/off, etc.)
  • And in every camera view (external, cockpit, instrument, etc.).

You can check your game controller’s functionality by opening: Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers, then right-clicking on your joystick or game controller & choosing Game Controller Settings, then Properties, then Test, to see if there are any problems.

Agreed, sometimes a faulty game controller can be the culprit, however probably best to check all graphics settings first before blaming the hardworking controllers :grin:

Yep, thanks both of you for the replies. It may not be controller related due to the fact that when scrolling in the menu the same problem persists. The menu looks weird and the text blurs.

Hmmm. Weird as in corrupted text? Pure speculation and guesswork here: Any problems with heat buildup on your GPU?

No, not corrupted, just vibrating as I scroll, the same sort of vibration featured in the video, and no my GPU is well cooled so no concerns on that part. The weird thing about my problem is that it only happens occasionally, it’s not every time I use the sim. Thanks for the reply once again. :+1:

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I have this exact same problem - also same GPU. I never experienced this until installing 2024, but now it happens in 2020 as well, so I’m guessing some setting I have changed is the culprit.

Did you every figure it out?

@RPGamerous
frame gen on?

which Im pretty sure was the original topic owners issue as well.

Yep, I flew without framegen for about a week and it never happened once. Last night the sim reset my graphics settings, like it sometimes does, and my first clue was that weird shimmy. Went to graphics settings, framegen was back on.
