What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 2)

After being away on business, I was finally able to get back into the cockpit of my trusty TBM today, heading from Brasilia to Novo Progresso, going deeper into the Amazon Rainforest. While Novo Progresso is a decent-sized town of 25,000, it contains part of the national conservation area meant to protect the rainforest from rapid clearcutting. While I know that MSFS doesn’t always give accurate imagery, the amount of farmland right in the middle of the forest is striking.

The flight itself was calm and clear until the last ten miles or so, experiencing a good amount of turbulence. The airport is small and uncontrolled, but I should have paid attention to my METAR, which would have lead me to RW 12, rather than 30. Alas, I’ve always been a bit hard-headed.

Overall, an enjoyable flight, and I look forward to heading towards the Amazon River in a day or two.
