Took the new sky van and flew it around khky and later doing it with the pac 750, Cessna 208, kodiak, my favorite was the Tecnam
I did see you flying this last night! I was in the area in the Tornado.
Glad you like it buddy.
Now there’s a face only a mother could love.

Really enjoying exploring in the @bagolu taildragger 172. It’s a really great bush plane in my eyes. Taildragger - check. Plenty of power - check. Fairly quick - check. Throaty sound - check. Old school gauges - check. IFR ability for surprise weather - check. Cool cargo layouts - check. State saving - check. STOL - check. Dirty liveries - check.
Really the only thing it’s missing is wear & tear and engine realism. But that’s a fairly tall ask for freeware.
On my first flight in the Skyvan from Cold and Dark, I flew from Mountain Air, Burnsville (2NCO) to Falwell (W24).
This flight was staged specifically to celebrate the decorously colourful liveries with which Inibuilds and Asobo have chosen to grace this elegant flying machine:
Yet your pic is of a plain coloured one?
Someday yet you may meet someone plainly more gifted than I who will explain irony to you .
Lol, you know, right after I posted that I thought you were perhaps being ironic. Doh! How do you find her to fly? She fun?
I’ll need more flight time for a definitive conclusion: I’ve only done two landings, both at eccentric airports, so it’s too soon to judge. I haven’t seen anything, though, that would stop her filling a niche for a midsize STOL transport plane.
I do wish, though, that they’d included a civilian cargo version. It’s a Skyvan, not a Skybus.
Cool cool. I’m a bit hesitant with iniBuilds planes tbh, as I’ve got a couple of their GA planes (plus the 40th Anniversary Jenny and Goose) and I would sum them all up as “looks and sounds lovely but not very inspiring to fly” and their taildraggers have pretty bad ground handling.
First succesful flight using Beyond ATC as the ATC system. EBOS - EGLC.
I did not use the speech recognition so used the UI to select the available responses.
Went fine, I think in previous flights I had accidentally left on MSFS’s AI controlling the Radio, so they were interfering with each other. Now I did the radio frequencies manually.
One weird moment was, I got instructions to maintain 3000, fly heading 230 until established on localizer for ILS 27. And the readback (which I select from the menu) was incorrect, missing the heading. So it kept saying “negative, turn right heading 230” and the readback was always incorrect. Then suddenly it was all good and it switched me to TWR.
I’m also not sure what that circle was about when it vectoring me for the ILS approach
But in the end, it was doing what it should be doing.
Okay, going to try something different with this post… First I flew: Algiers to Tunis the Friday fly in event, I tend to do it early because I fly solo I refuse to pay to play online all the time, upon occasion I will do it but for the most part I won’t. So I have lots of media for this and I’ll explain why.
Why the load of media? - I’ve had a twitch channel for a while, but I haven’t streamed for close to a week, I also have a YouTube channel and I haven’t put anything substantial on it for also almost a week since I swear YouTube is blocking my views because I had a bit of a run like my channel was finally growing and being found, but it lasted for about four days, and then it dropped back to zero, currently debating about deleting the youtube channel and only staying with twitch for that reason.
So here’s my 4 photos:

Twitch:
In the future I won’t have all this media, I’ll stick to one channel or maybe just a few photos.
