Hi there, What FPS software do you guys use? Any help or info is greatly appreciated. TIA
There is one built in (Dev Mode) but it does not account for Frame Generation (if you use it) and obviously Dev mode doesn’t add hours to the log book.
Steam Client has one built in if you’re on Steam (I think from your profile you are store though).
The XBOX Game Bar has an option for it also.
This option requires that you have the Xbox Game Bar installed. By simply pressing “Windows Key + G” on your keyboard, you can see FPS, along with other resource utilization information.
If you have an NVidia card, make sure you have the GeForce Experience app. It includes a HUD that can be configured to show FPS and other things. When it’s just FPS, it’s very unobtrusive, and the app’s screenshooter omits the HUD when taking screenshots.
This is what I personally use. You can see the FPS counter in the top right corner of this screenshot I took yesterday. The app also allows you to display more/less performance metrics if you wish and you can pick which corner of the screen you want it to appear.
I use the Shift+Z mod.
Dev Mode if I need to dig a little deeper.
I don’t have frame gen available, so the actual sim FPS is what I check.
But you don’t say what app that is… so what is it, please?
Hello @AndyClark20,
My post was a reply to the one directly above it talking about the GeForce Experience app.
Thanks,
