I only see Simrate1 (normal default)and 2. Did the get rid of . 50 and . 25 as well as 4x and higher?
Some aircraft limit the rates. I believe FBW limits their A320 to 2X, and there might even be a limit based on your FPS. The more base FPS you have, the more you can turn up sim rate. I guess this would be for stability reasons to keep control feedback from going open loop and causing a crash.
There was a thread about this somewhere, and one of the devs gave advice on how you could modify this in one in the config files.
I do fly the FBW, I have not tested in other aircraft so it’s possible that with their latest version this could be a limitation. However, I thought this was a feature of MSFS and not FBW.
Here’s the thread. Read through this.
I have at times used simrate x3 with FBW, x4 was never a valid option for me, as the plane started to dolphine. But yeah, I have also noticed lately there seems to be a limit.
Yes you’re probably just talking about FBW.
FBW has a 14fps limit before it starts crapping itself. So if you increase simrate, you need more fps. x4 simrate needs 56fps and so on. If you pass 40fps even for a second, FBW forces the simrate down to x2.
Simrate works fine for all other planes.
Used 2x 4x 8x 16x many a time, particularly when discovering a new approach. I think 4x is max when on the ground, not sure.
Yes I saw same thing for 787 but with the c208 I can set rate up to 16. Feel like a rocket whit it !
I understand that if there is turbulence, at 4x the plane bounces and rocks all over, and I am happy with just 2x, but I miss . 50 and . 25 where sometimes u need to run the store or take a dump when being close (100 miles) to the destination and having . 5 or . 25 be nice.
