Hello all.
I am testing out my new computer, RX 9070XT, and 7800X3D 32GB.
Flew over Las Vegas and it looks nowhere near as good as it did on my old RTX3060.
No big sphere, looks like the erea is under construction.
No water animation at the Bellagio and no light coming out of the Luxor.
Bing maps are on, Rolling cache at 100GB, settings high to ultra.
Las Angeles on the other hand looks fantastic.
Any ideas?
Download and install the network card drivers from your motherboard manufacturer’s website. After that, download and install the chipset driver from AMD’s website.
If this is a fresh installation of MSFS 2020, make sure to install all the World Updates as well.
Yes, this is a fresh re-installation of 2020.
Will download new drivers and report results.
Thank you so much, very appreciated!
Were you using DLSS when the RTX was installed? Perhaps you forgot to change it to FSR since you switched to an AMD card.
Yes, I was using DLSS.
But this is a whole new computer. AMD CPU and GPU, DLSS doesn’t show up in the General Options menu .
I will look for the FSR option next time I fire up the sim.
Thanks for your reply.

Las Vegas seems to be a special case for appearance. Over the past years, there have been a variety of comments about it. It looks like it is melted if LODs are not set high, and photogrammetry needs to be enabled. I have never been able to get it to look as good as other locations.
Thank you for your reply!
And yet with my old 3060, it looked awesome with no mods or tweaks. LA looks great but need to check out some other cities like New York and Chicago and Vancouver, Canada.
I have only had the sim up and running for a couple of hours.
Have other life chores to do
Turns out world updates did not transfer over to the new computer during the new installation so problem solved thank you!!
Now I have other updates to investigate.
