I had a problem with the sim crashing every time I switched to VR. I believe the latest update on December 9, 2024 resolved this problem. I can’t be sure because of another problem that has crept up. In an effort to troubleshoot my VR crashing problem, I uninstalled MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, plus the Fenix A320, 321. I then reinstalled MSFS 2024. My first few flights in VR after all of this were great. No crashes. There was a slight stutter in certain places. After one day, I started tweaking the settings to see if I could get rid of the stutter.
The next time I got in the SIM, something drastic had changed. All planes, whether in 2d or VR, have a terrible oscillating/yawing going on that makes it almost impossible to control. I thought that maybe it was a controller sensitivity issue. It wasn’t. Additionally, the terrain display on the PFD is all out of whack. It does not display the terrain or runway. On the 172 it is going crazy. On the Vision jet, I just get green nothing else.
I can sit on the runway with the brakes parked, and you can see the plane rocking like there is a 40 kt crosswind. There isn’t. The rudder is constantly moving even when stopped.
I’ve tried everything. I’ve lowered the graphics to low end both in VR and in the general section. Besides a few graphic settings changes between normal flight and uncontrollable flight there were two other changes. I had a Windows 23H2 cumulative update and there was an update to my nvidia graphics driver.
I have an Intel i9 2.8 ghz processor, 32 g ram, nvidia rtx 3090, and an HP G2 Reverb headset. But, like I said, I have this issue without VR as well.
