Well, I just tried 120 Hz locked at 40fps with Riva Tuner and had a very smooth flight in the C172 and the few clouds preset. Never dipped below 40fps. This was at native res of 4312 x 5102, DLSS Quality. At least for rural GA flying this looks and feels pretty good.
It even maintained it a low level. Trees were at Low and TLOD 90. Using eye tracking FR, so edges are blurred in screenshot.
