What is ITX in a IBP system?

I’m about to buy an IBUYPOWER PC (only game will be MSFS) with 3070 .. today I get an email from IBP about a new ITX system, seems cheaper for the same configuration. What is ITX? thanks

ITX is a motherboard size/shape/power requirements. Several manufacturers make ITX boards, so you may want to further research what they’re offering. I’m sure there’s thousands of pages on the net about those types of motherboards.

The takeaway is smaller also means less expansion potential later on. But if you value a small footprint system…

It is usually easier to cool the larger ATX systems, simply because you have more space for coolers and fans. Yes there are exceptions, but I would not count on the larger retailers to provide optimal cooling for an ITX vs ATX.

For MSFS and especially the 3000 series cards you want all the cooling you can get.

… and if you are buying a system now, I would make sure it will be 100% compatible with Windows 11 in the next few months (or years) … Just saying.

I heard that if you live in California or one of the sister states, that you need expandability in order to get around the power restrictions/uses during idle/sleep as the expanded parts give you more allowance on electricity use. Thus cheap basic rigs are more regulated. Only exceptions are custom built or rigs driven into the state by civilian vehicle.
