During my DODMERB (DOD Medical Examination Review Board), the doctor asked me to tell him what number I saw. I told him, “Which do you want? The 7 or the 4?” (Or whatever numbers they were.)

“What? Only a person who is red/green deficient can see the four, and a person who is red/green deficient can’t be a pilot. So, what number do you see?”

“Seven.”

“Remember that if you ever have to take this test again. You’re pilot qualified.”

Too bad they didn’t need pilots in that year.
