I just updated my AMD Chipset drivers and updated BIOS and it got me thinking about the various settings we all tend to turn on/off.
One of those settings that hasn’t come up much lately is Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling (aka HAGS).
What is the current thinking on having this enabled/disabled?
No problems with it under AMD and DX12.

i ran some tests on a low end system and concluded that it does indeed relief the cpu slightly
giving you a few (3-5) more fps
im pretty sure on a high end system it wont do anything noticeable

I’ll test on my system using CapFrameX
For those people running Frame Gen, the only “consensus” on HAGS is that we must run with it ON. Turning off HAGS would mean no Frame Gen and half frame rate.

Early MSFS recommendations was to have it off, as well as game mode. Now a days I have them both on and get better performance as a result with DX12.
I do run Frame Gen which is why I turned it on.
