When I press the “LEGS” Button on my aircraft computer MCU I can see list of way points (I think), then when I press the RTE Data button (Found in Boeing 787-10) I can see another list of way points (maybe different than the one in the LEGS page). May i know the difference between both of them?
The proper term in a Boeing is the CDU. The RTE pages represent the flight plan, for example “waypoint, airway, waypoint.” The only waypoints you see are either the DIRECT TO or the entry and exit to an airway. The LEGS pages do not show the airways; rather, each fix or waypoint along the route is listed in order with the predicted speeds and altitudes. They are about the same thing but are very different in their presentation.
