I can’t use any knows switches or buttons with this thing in the way. All my controls light up in blue but I can turn or push them.

Same issue, Cant unlock and no idea what “?” is supposed to signify.
I saw another post. It is in the General Options, Accessibility, Cockpit Interactions. Change it to Legacy.
I think this new LOCKED option is for when you don’t want any mouse clicks to interact with the sim.

X_Box update broke this and most everything else for me. All my activity flights, landing challenges etc. All reset as if I never flew one training or activity mission. My mouse no longer interacts with cockpit which led me to this thread. I’m struggling to make MS FS 2020 flyable on PC with HOTAS again, with no guidance from MicroAsobosoft to be found anywhere. Not shocked, just disappointed.

The ? means the control is not assigned. If you are talking about your mouse, just reset the mouse to default assignments.
Not assigned to the mouse or keyboard. I don’t have any specific assignments for keyboard and mouse, just my yoke, throttle and rudder.
The ? means the sim thinks nothing is assigned to that control. In other words you have to re-set it.
Do I have to reset all my assignments or just for keyboard and/or mouse. I’d hate to have to remap all my controller mappings.
It’s usually recommended to do so if you experience glitchy controls. But in your case I would start by just reassigning any controls where you see “?”. And then if you continue to have problems then I’d go for a reset of all controls. Or you could even just make a new control profile so you can keep the old one for reference.
Funny thing is all my Yoke, Throttle Quadrant and Rudder controls work. It is just when I am in Lock Mode I can’t use the mouse.
Let me check the Control Bindings screen. I haven’t checked that yet.
I have the same issue. I cannot see how it’s related to Keyboard assignments (The lack of interaction - i.e. I cannot click anything) as I never used keyboard assignments before, except for G = Gear. The solution worked for me. Not sure how to get rid of tooltips.
You can get rid of tooltips via the General Options Accessibility options too. Yeah tooltips are way too big.

This worked for me. I got my interactive cockpit back. It was the x-box “update” that changed it. PC controls are evidently now “Legacy”.
I finally got the Lock feature to work but it comes with the stupid gigantic labels and that is a non starter for me. So I am back to the Legacy interaction.
For everyone having this problem: Simply reset your mouse hotkeys. If you have similar problems with keyboard binds, reset them too. Fixed absolutely everything for me, instantly.
And set to LEGACY under ACCESSABILITY.
i agree all my controls which took me hours to set up and find reset. i can’t even fly now
