What is this? Is this mimicking Ice or Snow on the Fuselage?

What is this on the nose of this default A320 Neo (2)? Saw it in “Free Flight” after landing at Halifax at -13°C. Never seen this before and I suppose it is mimicking built up ice. Actually the area covered grew slowly from minute to minute. If it really is ice, than it is a great feature.

Is there ice anywhere else? I’ve never seen it just on the nose

i belive it is indeed airframe icing, although sometimes it looks like someone poured cement on the aircraft

Looks more like it flew through a sandstorm!

Check the leading edge of the wings. You’ll usually get icing there too.

Most likely, you have “Icing Effect” setting enabled in MSFS 2024.
You can check this setting in Assistances, and under Realism you will find Icing Effect.
There are three options to choose: ON, Visual Only and OFF.
