What is your favorite part of the total sim experience?

I can’t create a poll, since I’m only a Level 2 member. Here’s a list (in no particular order.) Which are your favorites?

I tried to come with a comprehensive list, but please add things I might have missed.

Mastering manual startup of complex aircraft
Challenging takeoffs and landings
Relaxed cruising
Soaring
Canyon runs
Flight Planning
Multiple airfield trips
Programming controls in SPAD, AandO, Stream Deck, etc.
Low-level sightseeing
ATC comms
VOR navigation
IFR
Overflying landmarks
Mastering helicopters
Finding and reporting bugs
Missions
Multiplayer events
Checking out new mods

Hello,
I’d create the poll for you but when there’s new items added to the list, it resets the poll (votes).

The voyage, in real time.

That blissful moment when everything comes together and I become aware of just how much I’m enjoying this simulator and how I want to share that positive feeling about it with others.

For me, this sim has changed the way I do things…. Up until this sim with its amazing scenery I would only ever fly airliners, never GA, and never fighters or warbirds, the quality just wasn’t there and other than 3rd party airports, there was nothing to look at….

Then came along Flight Simulation (2020)…

Now I fly mostly VFR in GA aircraft (and airliners), but even since August 2020 my flying has changed….

Now I still fly mostly GA VFR, with IFR when necessary, but now for me, its all about following proper procedures:

Checklists, weight & balance, correct flight planning following real-world rules, flying by-the-numbers. This is all a part of a much bigger plan to eventually get my real-world PPL, and more. While this sim cannot teach me how to fly, it can be used to practice many of the aspects of real-world flying…. And well seeing the bigger world is a super bonus.

Hi, to answer the question; Simply being in the plane in VR, everything else falls into place thereafter :slightly_smiling_face:
