What kind of chair do you "fly" from?

I sent it. Omegalabs Titan 2022 edition. Worth the money (I got the softweave fabric version for breathability)

I thought that was a commode. :joy:

Hello all,
my “Catpit” as I call it should be made mainly from “used material” (exception are computer and controls).
Still a long construction site but the seat is fixed.
It is a car seat from demolition.
The basic frame I made from scrap iron.
Soliede garbage refinement at its best!

Yeah, I really do. A chair doesn’t have to be padded to be comfortable. I can sit and work/play for hours at a time in this thing.

MonsterTech MFC-3 Desert Falcon.
Perfect for flying fighters in VR, because of the narrow backrest!

I have a Playseat Airforce, overall pretty happy with it.

PROS
Looks good
Decent quality, I’ve owned it a year and there’s not a mark on it yet
Comfortable, if a little upright
Fits my yoke, throttle quadrant and radio perfectly

CONS
£350 seems a bit overpriced.
The side mounts are low and far back so I have to reach back to use the throttle and mixture
Won’t work with a centre mount between the legs for a joystick, the pedastal is too high.

OVERALL
I’m happy with it for my needs. I fly in VR and the immersion is great. For those want to build a cockpit with the controls in the right place though it’s probably not ideal. The throttle controls are too far back and low, and the yoke is too high up.

My main chair is an AndaSeat Dark Knight. It wasn’t cheap, but it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for my ■■■ next to staying out of prison.

Now that I’ve moved to a semi-permanent separate cockpit though, I’ve had to pull out an older office chair for that.

VERY nice setups here. I fly in my home office, so I can’t go all out with a full setup. Kinda jealous of some of these. My girlfriend may also kick me out of my own house if I put a full cockpit in here. Lol.

Keep the pics coming!

I highly recommend that back pad for any chair. It’s on Amazon. Priceless. At 41, with a ton of athletics on my bones, my back loves any help it can get.

I would have never believed it… Didn’t look comfortable at all.
But, it is a neat looking chair.

It’s called a Querty T-Pad that i picked up on Amazon. I looked but don’t think it’s still available now.

I attached it with a flexible phone clamp and heavy duty velcro. To be honest I usually don’t use the clamp now and just have yhe keyboard in front of the TV - makes getting in and out of the chair easier. :grinning:

Also, the track pad doesn’t actually work with the xbox, but I have the main mouse for that.

My favorite so far. I need this.

6 DOF. Really works well.

Have you tested 3dof too?

Wonder if the difference is worth the $$$$

Yeah, my wife, who is unable to come up with gift ideas for me most of the time, keeps asking if I want to replace it with a “real” gaming chair every holiday, birthday, father’s day, etc.

Absolutely fu@king not!

I love my hard, plastic, non-swively office chair.

I wish my back was as strong as yours. Lol

You know your chair must be rubbish when even your non gaming wife looks at and feels bad for you!
