I am planning to develop a note taking/looking through tool for msfs ,and I want to know which app do you usualy use.
Notes in what context (What kind of notes)?
As I fly exclusively on VATSIM I use a pre-made sheet that prints out and fits on my kneeboard (which is mounted to a board on my chair that I use for my flight stick as well.
I also print the first 3-4 pages of my OFP from the VA as it has all the performance data, etc… and I’d rather work off paper then flipping screens.
The VA has an VACARS program that logs / tracks everything.
I also export that to Excel for easier sorting
Then of course there is Volanta!
LittleNavMap keeps track of everything as well, and SimBrief. Navigraph Charts 8 also lets you keep your FP’s in there.
Between all those tools, I guess it does everything needed.
I’m using the notepad when flying on VATSIM.
For me, typing is quicker than writing down and it doesn’t eat any space on my desk.
It gets even more complicated when flying on VATSIM in VR - for copying clearances, looking at the OFP and viewing Navigraph charts, I use the ingamepanels all-in-one tablet - https://www.flightsimulator.me/all-in-one-v2-0-0/all-in-one-v2-0-0

I personally use OneNote.
I have notepad open on my 2nd screen, or if I’m on Vatsim I use the Vatsim client notepad.
For VR flying I use:
It’s superbly integrated with Wacom tablet, no issues when attempting to sync the tablet’s pen and sim 3D mouse position - they work independently.
I have a reMarkable tablet which I use for my kneeboard. The writing surface is like writing on paper. Its perfect for jotting down quick notes from ATC, and doing quick dead reckoning math. Plus, it can display (and edit) PDF’s, so I add charts to it and write directly on the charts for navigation.
