I have had a Stream Deck plus for some time and finally getting around to try and set it up to use. I am not sure what plugin would be best for me. I have SPAD.neXt for my Class Echo controller, but I find it a bit over my head and not a lot of complete snippets(profiles) for the mostly GA aircraft I fly. I have found Flight Tracker, Pilots Deck, Axisandohs, and probably others out there. I would say I am looking for the easiest one to utilize that has good profiles available for download. I really don’t see myself creating or programming profiles. At least not at this stage. Do any of them have easy to follow directions on creating a profile or just getting the Stream Deck to work with MSFS2024. Any input is appreciated. Thank you.
I’m in the same boat, so to speak.
The Stream Deck Plus is full of potential for MSFS but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to make it do what i want. Despite being an instrument engineer of the old school with 50 years experience I still need at least basic clear, written instructions.
The only snippet I have used in SPAD is one named TRIMS, otherwise there are a few individual buttons like WIND and baro. I figured out a way to display ground speed on a button gauge but it doesn’t persist, also I have my system sound volume on a knob. I don’t really know what I’m doing though.
If you want to tie it up doing a single thing it can be made to emulate various auto pilots but there are much better ways of doing that.
Have you worked out how to use the “pages” feature and move smoothly forward and backwards through several “pages”. If I could just do that I would make a stab at setting up buttons and knobs myself, and that seems to be the best way to customise it to our own needs.
I know there are many enthusiasts using flightsim.to and discorse, also the Elgato web pages to list profiles or plugins or whatever, but they rarely tell us how to use them, i.e. what code / script to put where.
I use SPad.next for three different Stream Decks (XL, Plus, and Mini). I do a combo of using snippets and doing things from scratch. You can learn a lot by examining some of the existing snippets out there, though sometimes it’s hard to find the one you want.
That said, do you have any particular planes you want to start with? I’ve published a few (username “steveKane”, not surprisingly).
(Aside: this is why flight simming is so much fun for me, as it satisfies my key passions: aviation itself, geography/exploration, software development, engineering, and efficiency, i.e. Stream Decks galore )
I use Axisandohs. It is a fraction of the price of the version of SPAD.next needed for Streamdeck support, there are loads of free profiles available on-line and you can freely mix aircraft profiles and buttons with other types of profile.
I have done very little programming of buttons myself, but it is easy to customise profiles by copying and pasting buttons that do what you want between them.
I do actually use SPAD for my Honeycomb throttle and Logitech panels but not for the Streamdecks.
Looks like I’m not the only one who is a little stymied at getting started with Stream Deck. I have gained a lot of understanding from a YouTube channel Aimoii’s Lazy Stream. He has step by step instructions for installing PilotsDeck to link the Stream Deck to FS2024, and then install one of his profiles onto the SD. Unfortunately, most of his profiles are for airliners which I don’t really fly. It seems one of the most popular plug ins to link the SD with MS2024 profiles is axisandohs (AAO). A developer named Guenseli has numerous profiles on Flightsim.to. JDB Game Time on YouTube has a good tutorial on installing axisandohs and using it with SD plus. Most of the other tutorials I have watched are difficult for me to keep up with. They are made by people who know the process very well but fail to break it down to the level of someone who is learning it for the very first time.
I think there is a way to easily transfer keyboard commands (like F7 to increase flaps) to a button on the SD. Then add an icon to the button. I’m going to work on that. Just have to dig in and learn it. With winter approaching I will have more time to devote to it.
Streamdeck plugin is available at this link

Use Axis and Ohs. There are loads of stream deck+AAO profiles in flightsim.to. Most of them give instructions on how to import the templates. Download the AAO stream deck plugin from here: Downloads - AXIS AND OHS
I don’t fly without my Stream deck.
I also use Spad.Next. It works well and for GA I have found enough snippets to get things how I want.
I have the complete version of Spad.neXt already. Do you know if there is a way to search the snippets on Spad.neXt specifically for stream deck snippets? They seem to be listed without much organization as to type of device they are written for. This makes it hard to find. Is there another website to find the stream deck snippets?
It is indeed hard to find snippets in Spad. The Snippets Search dialog allows you to focus your search on different hardware items in the tree on the left, but you’re at the mercy of whether the snippet publisher did things correctly.
I usually just do my search at the very top level (ALL snippets), then do a text search of the aircraft name. Then I look at the results and see if any say “StreamDeck” or “Stream Deck”. Then I click the eyeball to view the preview PDF that gets generated to see if it matches what I want to find.
This still is a bit tedious, since people title their snippets in different ways (like FSW or FlySimWare, or L35 vs Learjet 35), but sometimes you can find some nuggets with some creative searching.
