I am looking at upgrading my system specifically for flight simming. I am at the moment torn between updating my GPU or CPU first. Currently I am running a 3070ti and a Ryzen 5 7600x and I would like to stay on the current AM5 platform. Any thoughts and considerations what I should upgrade first? I fly airliners, so it should be tailored to this use case.

You’ll most likely get the most bang for your money with an upgrade to a 9800x3d or 9850x3d cpu. The sim loves the additional vcache and it will help smooth things out.
An upgrade to your 3070Ti will be more costly however you can’t go wrong either way.
If you turn on the fps debug window in the sim it will tell you if you are cpu or gpu limited and you can use that info to help make a decision.
