I mainly use my desk for actual work so mine has to be portable.
I have the VKB Gladiator with the STECS Max, all mounted on a 5mm aluminium plate with suction feet to hold it steady. Takes just seconds to deploy!
Since that picture I’ve added a discreet USB microphone which helps BATC a lot. Only one USB connection because I stuck a hub on the board.
This combination is fantastic for anything. The STEM module in the middle does both radios on the dials, the speedbrake on the slider, the flaps, gear, and parking brake, still with a bunch of buttons left!
I still haven’t found a use for all of the hats on the throttle. With the swappable detents it’s perfect for Airbus or GA or heli.
I was going to buy the Crosswind pedals but then Winwing came out with the Orion, which seems just as good. I have the damper, toe brakes, and easy to disconnect rudder centering, which makes them perfect for fixed or rotary. And a lot cheaper too. Highly recommended.
If I needed to replace this setup I’d go and buy exactly the same again, no hesitation.
