Very curious to see the list what shows us which handcrafted airports in which version.
Have the mesh collisions that prevent exploration with the drone camera been removed in any of the handcrafted airports that have terminal interiors?
Man, I hope so! I hate that concept. The camera should not be constrained the way aircraft are. There’s no reason to stop us from exploring within buildings with the camera, and crashing through surfaces with the camera. I really don’t care to have my head stopped by the fuselage just to make it “more realler”… Planes, yes, camera, no.
Cape Town wasn’t quite right either. I am hoping that gets some 2024 love.
I really hope that they will publish the lists with handcrafted airports that each version includes.
All aircraft’s per version have been published.
As I have to buy 2 licenses it really is important to me.
If they are including all the handcrafted airports from the MSFS2020 Premium Deluxe plus all the handcrafted airports from the WU, SU, and CU releases, i count 169 from ([GUIDE] Asobo Handcrafted Airports)
Subtract the glider strips, that’s 154. Am i miscounting?
Hope to see an offical list soon.
Interesting, so when we say including in 2024, which one, which package, premium deluxe (2024) vs regular, assume that means if you had premium deluxe before, go with premium (maybe), unless you bought 3rd party (better) versions since then (or maybe the 2024 ones will be improved)
Any updates on this? I’ve reviewed the two referenced posts but the numbers still don’t add up. And what airports will be in which version?
Hopefully the default airport won’t be pitch black. And have jetways at least.
I, like many others I suspect, will not be buying MSFS2024 without knowing which airports are included in each package. It’s now over a month since the MSFS Team said they would look into it, and less that 20 days until launch. MSFS were quick to tell us all about the aircraft but nothing about the airports. What are they hiding from us?
Updated handcrafted airports from MSFS 2020 and two new ones.
Most probably they just have a lot of much more important tasks on their plate.
I tried to compile the list of airports here: MSFS 2024 airport lineup
same as today.
Maybe we will get an answer during their next live stream on the 6th with 1st Party World Developers as the topic. Knowing what airports are in each version can be as important as knowing what aircraft are in each for some people I imagine to make a purchasing decision.
Looking at other posts I’m guessing that the standard edition will have the same airports that were shipped with the 2020 standard edition. There were 5 additional airports that were include in the 2020 Deluxe Edition and a further 5 in the premium package. I may be wrong but I’m thinking 2024 will be the same, but upgraded, airports as they gave us in the different 2020 editions. Guess I will just have to wait and see and then work out how much I actually want the additional 5 or 10 airports.
I think the only confirmed new handcrafted airports are Grand Canyon National Park, and Bilbao.
You can see Bilbao in the first trailer (the airport used in the Ambulance scene), and Grand Canyon Airport is seen in some of the press footage from the September event.
Some existing airports are getting complete overhauls, some appear to be just getting makeovers.
One Youtuber went to Lake Taho (KTVL from the USA World Update) in the Grand Canyon press demo and it didn’t appear to be vastly different, just some new static vehicle models, new taxi markings and possibly revised parking spots, as his plane spawned facing a different direction than you would in the sim right now.
TFFJ can be seen in the first trailer and some videos from the event, it appears to be identical as well, just with proper ground markings for taxing and parking now.
Excellent question I have too.

Good find.
Thank you
