What about the 155-160-165 airports that are going to be in the sim…
It would be interesting to know what these airports are…
Especially myself being someone who’s got many airports, spent a few $£€ in airports and knowing some that are in the pipeline so we don’t get double ups …

We have been spoilt by many aircraft developers that bless us with free updates… Especially updates that are effectively a “new” build… Fenix and just flight to name few…
We have also seen a different side… And it’s just been airports where we have had to by a updated airport… I guess those amazing uk airports, that money is going to an amazing developer… The Dublin one was a bit of a… Considering the 2nd runway was implemented as “under construction” then we had to pay effectively just for the second runway…
There are also 145 or so handcrafted MS airports in 2020 between the base sim and world updates. So are these 155 airports counting those, overlapping somewhat, or an entirely different set of airports?
I certainly hope… For myself with being from NZ..
Queenstown was a real dog of a “handcrafted” airport… To the point of getting the payware version was basically night and day…
There weren’t even like proper taxyway lines from memory but other handcrafted airports did have taxiways…
This is the most important question for me at the moment, as it will decide what version to preorder.
I am a bit disapointed thst we have a full lost of aircraft but no lost of the airports. At least those that make the difference between versions should be published.
Looking at the default airports quality (see ENSB and the bumpy runway or lack of arrival procedures for example, but you can encounter issues in a few of them, included wrong taxi paths for AI and vehicles), I’m more worried about those airports than anything else.
If only could be edited with the SDK, but no option neither.

What is going to happen to all of those airport and scenery developer’s that blessed us with amazing works of art in simulators gone by… Orbix with Australia and NZ for example…

Some of that detail is absolutely amazing… Really dose ask the question… What will those airports really look like? What are those handcrafted airports? What airports am I looking at buying/what ones are in line to come out and should I hold of until I see that list…

Further a field to all of the airports outside of the “handcrafted” world… Especially the major airports… What will those “default” airports look like…
This looks like Queenstown and wow… That is a ton load better than their original “handcrafted” go…
Definitely making me think about a number of those “handcrafted” airports that I might have brought from a third party developer…
Do we have any intel for airports? Personally, knowing myself, I will visit some of the bespoke ones but very likely not all (I tend to like to remain in a region for a long time, getting to know it) so I’m happy to invest in airports I’m likely to use, but it feels pretty pricey for assets I will likely not use.
They won’t tell us which airports will be included because it would have a negative impact on marketplace sales! MS Rule Nr. 1: Money comes first. Always.
The handcrafted airports in MSFS 2024 will be upgraded airports from MSFS 2020! So you’ll have 150 with the Standard version, 155 in Deluxe, and 160 in Premium Deluxe and Aviator. I don’t have the full entire list for you just at this second, but I can certainly make a note to see if we can provide the full list for you on our website!
There you have it. But you get 45 totally new flyables in your hangar, thats a lot and because i didnot have any payware planes from microsoft. i get 30 more good planes to fly with aviators edition. What a bargain, and i am edvertising, not being sarcastic.

Please forward your note, as for me the airports included in variois packages is far more important than the aircraft - where we have a full list already.
I cannot pre-order without knowing what i can expect from each package. So the list of airports is very important.
Thanks for the info. I remember that it was announced pretty early on that MSFS 2020 content can (generally) be used in MSFS 2024. Against this background, my question: What is the situation with the Deluxe/Premium Deluxe airports if you have the Premium Deluxe licence for MSFS 2020, but only the Standard licence for MSFS 2024? What version of the Deluxe/Premium Deluxe airports will I see in MSFS 2024? Default airports, the MSFS 2020 versions or the new MSFS 2024 versions?

buy standard msfs 2024 - you get standard airports, not pre deluxe from 2020.

boy we were super excited on the premium deluxe airports back 4 years ago in msfs2020 and so disappointed after release. Not as good as expected and never updated. Get a few good payware airports like KLAX KJFK EGLL or EDDM and you are better suited. my view at the moment. freeware exist also in the meantime like virtualFra.

Lack luster to be honest and as a result, many had a payware version rework… Basically all of the key international airports in that Msfs 2020 list are ones that I have ended up buying a better version for…
Oh well I guess they have made these airports, I just hope there are some surprises, or possibly a good portion of “new” airports… Istanbul would be nice for many who didn’t go out and buy the current payware version..
