For GAs: I want in MSFS 2020 the following study-level aircraft (or their equivalent or even better) already made for Prepar3d by A2A Simulations: C172, C182, Piper J-3 Cub, Bonanza, Cherokee 180 and Comanche 250.
Twin Engine GAs: A2A Simulations’ Aerostar 600 study-level (or its equivalent or even better), Milviz Cessna 310R, Diamond DA62 already made by Vertx
A study-level TBM 900 from Hotstart (or its equivalent or even better) and another model with analogue gauges which Steveo Kinovo flies.
I want in MSFS 2020 the following study-level aircraft (or their equivalent or even better) already made for Prepar3d by PMDG: 737, 747, 777
FSlabs’ study level (or its equivalent or even better) A320/A3201
Actually, I just thought of a really good one: how about hand-crafted scenarios (weather, scenery objects, cutscenes, etc.) that can be played out by the pilot?
Think FSX missions, but I’m talking like ■■■■ good production quality, like AAA title voice acting, Oscar worthy performance, crazy good attention to detail to make it feel like you were actually flying with real people and things around you, and not just some program script that was running. THAT I would pay decent money for.
Hmm thats the kind of thing I think id have to see before I really know if I like it or not. It sounds like it could be really cheesy or it could actually be really cool. It would be kinda hard to do right because of the scale of the game being worldwide. Don’t know how the community would receive it.
But if it was about really cool stuff like emergency airlifts and search and rescues, and it was done in a way that it didnt seem like it was sapping resources from other parts of the game I think people might be receptive to it.
A lot of the stuff you mention im sure will be brought by 3rd parties and will probably be way more detailed than if it were a 1st party made plane.
Id like to see a TBM 940, just because of the autothrottle and a working “take me home button” lol.
As for the military aircraft, I think that there are some restrictions as to what they can have as 1st party content in the game simply because planes with weapons in an environment where they can fly anywhere in the world can cause lets say, mischief if the community went overboard. I can see them being added but they are definitely going to be made as “pacifist” as possible if you know what I mean, think Blue Angels instead of the Navy F/A-18. Just a guess on my part. Microsoft doesnt want to open any possibility of bad PR arising from that kind of thing. But yeah I really want to do carrier landings in this sim. I dont think it will affect 3rd party content though, might affect whether its available on the marketplace.
Not that i want to troll this thread… the only thing i would pay now is for is a simple “no bug” plane due to the actual fail from ASOBO to simply make the vanilla planes AP working properly.
Fact is… i paid the game, so, you see what i mean.
Beside that, i cross my fingers to get PMDG planes in game asap, to finally have a good simulator and say finally bye to vanilla planes.
I’d pay money for a full-on international ATC system. Not just bugs fixed, but complete support for the services available around the world: QNH, QFE, Basic/Traffic/Deconfliction/Flight Information etc services, local conspicuity (7000/1200) and listening squawks, emergencies, service refusals due to controller workload, AFIS and Radio (tower but not tower) airports, operational hours, etc. Something that gives me the same experience as a real flight in that country.
I’d be uninterested in additional default-quality aircraft (non-opening doors, lots of stuff inop…), no matter what the aircraft.
I’ll tell you what I WILL NOT pay for… aircraft with pointless things like opening doors and useless buttons that go “click” but don’t actually DO anything, and are not required to actually fly the airplane. Ridiculous so-called “study level” aircraft can kiss my ■■■
That’s even more fun. People complain that (due to bugs) planes are going out all at once, wheels are not extended etc. pp and on the other hand people want “study level” planes that do exactly that and want to pay for it.
“Study Level” is fake anyway. No matter what you simulate, the real physics are missing in the end.
It’s on my list to check out, because it seems to support Voice communications from Pilot to ATC.
Ie you can tune into a facility, and then just start speaking to them, as you might in RL, and “maybe” get the response you expect.
MSFS ATC with limited Multiple Choice by comparison would seem to be so Primitive and budget game …
The demo video looks very impressive – but then again, so did the MSFS Demo Video !!!
Now don’t burn me at the stake for this but… I would pay dearly for optional 2d cockpits. The ability to switch to the 2d when manipulating knobs, tuning in frequencies or alt/hdg settings was so easy and in the later development of FS9 there were some 3rd party 2d cockpits that were excellent representations of the real thing. It would be great to have the option for both 2d and 3d. Somehow our quest for visual “realism” in the cockpit took precedence over “ease of use”. I struggle with grabbing things with the mouse in critical situations. I never used to have that problem in older sims.
I’d pay for a mod that has improved ground crew handling. As I currently work for a 3rd party contractor at an airport currently, the only realistic GC function I’ve seen is catering. The game right now doesn’t take into account what aircraft you’re using for bag loaders, fuel trucks, and the turns for the pushback trucks are too shallow. Or it would be better if you could manually control the pushback tugs instead of using the delayed call out system we have currently.
It’s rather insulting to see GC using a belt loader on a 747 or 787 for the main cargo deck when it should be a pallet loader putting ULDs on. The belt loader in this case will be just behind the aft main deck door to put bags in that small compartment behind the ULD section; that area is always filled with bags the GC couldn’t cram into the ULDs.
For fuel trucks, no narrowbody airliner AFAIK has the fuel panel on the left side (always on the right). It’s a little realistic for widebodies as the door IS on the left, but they should be using lift decks to reach them due to the height.
