What's Improved in FS2024 over FS2020 as far as old bugs and missing features?

Aside from better lighting and 3D trees and better terrain, I’m interested in knowing if some of the things we been voting for over the past 4+ years has finally made it in 2024 or not. Do we truly have an upgrade? I really want to buy this game but looking to see if I would buy based on just better graphics, or truly an upgrade for my taste.

1- My number one interest is saving and loading a flight with a flight plan. Can anyone confirm if this is fixed?

2- Can we enter a flight plan during mid flight?

3- How is the replay feature? Does it work as intended and did they make it simpler than the experimental one in 2020?

4- Did they fix the PAPI lights?

5- Do we have a better working ATC or do we simply ignore them again?

I think I have more questions but I will update as I remember more. Those are the most glaring for me atm. I also wonder about tower views but I heard they will work on that for a future update. I hope those interested will continue to voice your desire for that feature so we’re not waiting another 4+ years hopefully. Feel free to add any other bugs/missing features from FS2020 in this thread. And if you’re in the game, can you please report on any of these issues if you tested it? Thanks in advance.

I know what has been improved…the teasers and nothing else !

It seems the sim went backwards at the moment. 2020 feels a bit more stable in all areas, unfortunate 2024 feels rushed and unfinished like many have said. Especially with the few hours I have put in already, mostly trying to fix controls. insanity! I’ve about given up until some patches/mods come out, it’s not in a good state to say the least, its a true disappointment.

I’ve been trying to use the replay tool and it just doesn’t seem to work.

I can record and save but not replay the saved videos?

Can’t seem to find a tutorial on it. I would have imagined MSFS would at least have made tutorial videos for 24

Yeah, I saw a stream where he struggled with it trying to get replay to work. Ok that’s one to put on the watch list that’s not resolved.

I edited my original post to add ATC. But seriously, if the only thing fixed in the list is saving a flight with flight plan, it would put a smile on my face. But then there’s the rest of the stuff I’m hearing about. Gonna give it a couple weeks to see if there’s some kind of road map or update announced. Speaking of which, wasn’t there supposed to be a day one patch?
