Today I made a FPS comparison of LOWI in both FlightSims - 2020 and 2024.
In FS2024 in LOWI with Cessna 172-G1000, runway 26, 14. July 24 at 15:30 clock, clear sky, HD-Resolution, live-traffic: off
I have the following FPS:
8-21 FPS, TLOD 100, rendering High, looking towarts the airport buildings
In FS2020 in LOWI with Cessna 172-G1000, runway 26, 14. July 24 at 15:30 clock, clear sky, HD-Resolution, live-traffic: off
I have the following FPS:
75 FPS, TLOD 100, rendering High, looking towarts the airport buildings
I got the same FPS drops in other handcraftet airports in FS2024.
My System is: i9 10850K CPU, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3070, Win 11
So I guess there is something wrong with FS2024. What do you think?
i mean the in-game fps counter, you have to first enable developer mode in the options menu, then display fps counter, do it while experiencing the issue, take a screenshot and post it here
What resolution are you playing in? If it’s 4k it’s possible that your VRAM is too small and unfortunately this game doesn’t handle that situation particularly well sometimes.
And as already mentioned, please provide a screenshot of the ingame FPS counter
Hello again! I have to apologize because I can’t reproduce the results! This behavior of the Sims is a complete mystery. I’ve now got quite decent FPS values, see screenshot. I don’t have any more stuttering. Since I switched on developer mode, I’ve been getting acceptable FPS.
