When I change a sim setting in the menu (such as swapping to unlimited fuel, changing OLOD, or key bindings), when I return to the sim, it is stuck in a permanent state of active pause which I cannot unpause.
I have tried everything I can think of to resume, including: key bindings, using the in-sim task bar, and developer mode. Nothing I do unsticks the sim.
Happened three or four times now on separate occasions.
Anybody else have the same thing? Don’t recommend testing when you are 6 hours into a 12 hour flight lol.
I am running the latest non-beta version with limited third-party addons. I have noticed this in the Fenix A320 and MSFS/Inbuilds A330, and only when using the sim update 5 build.
It’s best to start the session configured already the way you want. If you change things during a flight especially later in the flight when your Cache memory may be near full it can jam the sim. Not to mention the loading of programs can jumble the current loaded program. Saving every so often is good idea also.
So I think I’ve found the problem/solution in case anyone has the same issue.
I have custom keyboard bindings. When using my custom keyboard bindings, I can enter the menu and exit the menu. However, when I exit (via ESC) and return to the sim, it is stuck in active pause - no way to resume.
The only way around this is to revert to the default keyboard bindings, where I can exit the menu as normal (via ESC) and the sim reverts to normal.
I can’t find any keyboard bindings (both default and custom) which relates to the menu or anything assigned to ESC. Is this a bug potentially? Only experienced on the SU5 version.
