When I choose livery for Asobo 737-8 max MSFS 2024 freez and than got CTD

Workaround for OP: switch to the other configuration of the plane (business jet or passenger jet), then to the desired configuration again, then choose the livery. Sometimes one of the config is active and liveries for the other one are available, hence the CTD.

I’ve had the exact same thing happen on Xbox; liveries for the passenger version can come up when business version is selected. I discovered the work-around above as well, and it’s reliable until this is fixed.

Happening to me now all of a sudden afer flying numerous 737 missions. Now crashing as I try to free flight the 737 and select a livery.

Every time I try to change the 737 Max livery, CTD always occurs

The whole variant/livery interface is buggy as anything. I always have intermittent crashes when using it. The 737 Max is the worst but probably not alone in this regard.
Like others have mentioned there is no retention of previous state yet you can go in with first decription being BBJ, but open it to find a passenger variant in the next screen. You then have to toggle to business and then abck to passenger otherwise accepting the default leads to a CTD. Then go pick correct livery. The interface navigation with all this often leads to CTD’s.
Other CTD’s are in menus on world map. I think it’s the UI menus (and dropdowns) in general in FS2024 that are bugged, but the 737 is particularly bad for problems with regrads to variants and liveries. (I am on PC)
