Now I’m doing longer career flight I am using time skip more than usual. Trouble is my pilot rating has gone down due to missing ATC handovers. Is there a setting on the PC-12 MFD maps that show the ATC sectional boundaries? That way I can slow down time skip ready to interact with ATC?
Good question. It would be helpful. ATC doesn’t work at the best of times

I just cancel IFR and go to VFR as soon as I can, generally early in the initial climb. That also avoids various ATC bugs, like altitude loops. (You can file an VFR flight plan using the EFB, but it often makes you swap to IFR once you are airborn, so I just swap back to VFR)
But I’m pretty sure the PC-12 doesn’t have that in it’s MFD maps. You can see all the map options at the top of the screen, and there’s just not that many. An external tool, like LittleNavMap, might be perfect for you, since it’s got tons of useful overlays.

Never heard of littlenavmap. Is it a standalone website or something you install into fs24 like a mod?
Yeah tried using vfr and it’s a little less demanding 
Standalone application you install on your PC, uses the simconnect API to figure out where your plane is. Excellent tool.

I do the same, but one time it didn’t register my landing at the destination. My favorite flights are leaving an airport as VFR so you don’t have to deal with ATC at all. Regardless though, typically right before my descent, I contact ATC and re-initiate my IFR FP and that has worked pretty well for me. Means I don’t have to worry about the million ATC calls during cruise. Sometimes it was passing me off to a different frequency at the same center almost every 30-60 seconds. Ain’t nobody got time for that… I’m trying to fold my laundry.

That’s exactly why I cancel, I’m on a VIP Charter flight right now from Boca Raton To telluride… its a 4hour flight. I don’t want to sit here for 4 hours clicking enter, I can go do stuff around the house in that time and com back for descent and landing. I get the idea of using the ATC but the built in ATC is so bad it’s dam near useless.
They have an AI co-pliot option under assistance, but it doesn’t seem to be active in career… where I would actually use it. I’m not using it in free flight that’s for sure

I tried activating co pilot atc mid flight but it was greyed out so guessed it can only be activated outside of a live flight? Which is useless as you may want to deactivate it near to destination
