What/how a global corporation views as community/communications most likely differs from what us end users view as caring/communications. That can be a big difference! It might look much better up the food chain than it does down here in the cafeteria, metrics-wise, right?
I guess you did not get my point. They win together and they lose together. And if they do not live up to the standards the failed. Thatās my point. There is no mysterious higher up that is responsible. It is the way you act.
Not getting any kind of feedback and might it be āwe are working on something, we hear you, right now we cannot give you answersā might be better than being a void.
Anyhow that is just my point of view and we do not need to agree with each other. I am fine if you have a different opinion.
This is what is driving us forward a humans.
The CMs do have my full respect. They need to face the angry mob. And I appreciate this.
Itās not that we disagree, I think we are just looking at two different issues at the same time. You are making solid sense about accountability and customer relations. Having retired from 25 years in corporate America, I have seen how different things can look from that side where consumers see/feel it much differently. In any case, 800 folks working across multiple partner entities to produce 24 is likely to result in a great deal of internal (mis)communications issues that directly affect our customer satisfaction. And yes the CMs are saints for doing what they do for us, they deserve our full respect!
I play in VR, not a single flight in 2D since the launch of FS2020.
FS2024 is almost unplayable in VR, so I really hope they will address this quickly.
In the meantime, I keep using FS2020. It works and it has kept me happy for the last 4 years - it will do the same for the next couple of months.
Anyways, sad that beautiful VR always seems to be an afterthought for devsā¦
Not realistic with a bug issue tracker this full.
Once again lots of speculation.
Itās best to focus on the facts. The recent patch had a huge amount of improvements.
Streaming can silently fix some problems, so donāt automatically assume it is not happening.
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
Asobo is many things, nimble is not one of them.
Iām with you on this. Iām sure someday my investment in 2024 will be worth it but right now Iām very disappointed. I expect more out of a company as big as Microsoft. Iām sure we would have all been very disappointed but Iād have a lot more respect for them if they admitted that the game wasnāt ready prior to release and delaying it. The game is unplayable in VR in itās current state. There are still VR bugs in 2020. Microsoft needs to understand that many players fly exclusively in VR and we are as important to the success of the game as those who fly in 2D. The main reason I bought 2024 was the EFB, flight planning and charts. None of those work in VR. Iām very disappointed with Microsoft and Asobo right now.
I sure hope they release a patch before christmas, this thing needs a lot of fixes, at least fix VR.
Not patching this over the next week will be really poor from asobo/msā¦
Especially since server load will be higher during the holiday season
Just a little communication about the roadmap forward would be appreciated. A further patch would be a nice present too.
While it is more playable, there are so many bugs in the aircraft and particularly in the career mode there needs a to be some expectation management going on.
I completed a long cargo mission with an almost textbook landing only to be told I wasnāt on the runway when I was dead on the centreline
Yeah, Iāve been getting dinged for rough landing when the landing itself was buttery smooth at the correct airspeed and at an 8-10 degree flare in a 172. Also in career mode. Iāve definitely had rough landings where I donāt get dinged at all. Itās been really weird.
From the December Development LiveStream:
Though not shown in the thumbnail box above, the Famous Flyer 11 is:
Thanks for the reminder of these. My thoughts when I saw them were that these were the roadmap before the car crash launch. Iām not sure anything on this roadmap gives me confidence or any idea when the multitude of bugs and issues that people have highlighted since launch will be fixed. Sadly, none of the enhancements on the published roadmap are really useful until we get to a solid base product.
Here is how it tends to go with these big online Xbox Studios productions.
Their schedule is annoying at first.
Within 3-6 months the major issues are fixed.
Within a year the monthly Q&A and updates become a bit of an annoyance because they delay your flying.
After that? āWow! They sure update the sim a lot.ā
- Saving camera views and/or modifying the default camera view is still broken.
- Dynamic Registration is not working on any liveries, any plane.
- The PC-24 is STILL broken.
- There is an acknowledged bug in the Asobo WASM code that makes planes that use networking unable to return to the main menu, it affects inibuilds planes, the ATR, probably others.
I would say a patch is really needed before SU1.
The roadmap really is not appropriate right now. Everyone of those LL, FF, world updates and those 2 surprises should be replaced by more sim updates. What we donāt need now is more broken content on top of broken content. The roadmap also doesnāt cover back end server side fixes that we were told would be continually happening in the background with a promise to provide release notes for all these too.
The time for extra stuff comes later now should be 100% concentrated on bug fixing until at least the consensus from the community is itās actually ready for that.
They need to release another patch this coming week to fix all the things theyāve broken in patch 3, and also fix all the other hundreds of bugs logged in the forums.
so everything is 2025
