Like a CPU otimization etc…?

Performance improvements were mentioned in the devs Q&A, but I think they said any improvements they make will be traded off against extra sim functionality (eg particles I suppose) - in other words no increase in fps, just an improvement in the overall experience.
AMD Zen 4… when it comes out. Don’t count on Microsobo to make much if any additional optimizations. You would think that if they were capable of that then it would have already been done. Not saying I don’t think it runs awful as there is some serious computations going on behind the scenes and it has been this way since Flight Sim became a thing decades ago. It has always come down to newer hardware coming out 2 and 3 years down the road so you can brute force the sim to run smoother. This is the way.
Maybe it’s my imagination, but I feel like the last patch gave me better performance overall. I’m quite pleased with what I’ve got now, and have only noticed stutters in and around Seattle for whatever reason. I actually get better performance flying in between buildings in Manhattan than I do on a medium final into KBFI.
I’ve got a 10600K with a modest OC, a 2070 Super with a large OC, 64GB of CL16 memory, and have the game and addons on an NVMe disk, with 100GB of cache on a different SSD SATA.
The real test is coming on Tuesday when my Reverb G2s get here and the VR patch is released. I was kinda hoping to have a day or two to get my HMD setup and installed before the patch came, but I’m a big nerd so I’ll figure it out one way or another.
One thing I would recommend is to stop chasing raw fps results, and turn the fps counter off. Don’t worry about it until your eyes tell you something is hinky. For me that has only happened in Seattle as I mentioned. And it usually means fps rates around 20ish or below sustained for a second or three before I notice something ain’t right.
I am getting 70ish+ in cruise, and typically 35-50ish on initial climb and descent. And that’s perfectly acceptable to me. It does vary based on if I’m in a photogrammetry area with a “bespoke airport” vs. generic scenery, but even that isn’t huge.
What sorts of problems are you having?
Stutters, microstutters, macrostutters…on final aproaches, mostly with airliners inside the cockpit.

I don’t know what to tell you.
Except for those areas I noted around Seattle, those things don’t happen to me. I would recommend upgrading to at least 32GB of RAM, if not more. And a 2060S is just fine, as is the 10700. You didn’t specify what cache if any you’re using, but if you tend to fly to and from the same places, I think it’s useful. I don’t care how fast your (or anyone’s) internet speed is, files on a hard drive, especially an SSD, are much faster.
One thing I’ve gotten in the habit of doing is a quick reboot right before I fire up the sim. Just to clean out any junk left in memory, or programs you don’t want running, that sort of stuff. You might give that a try and see if it helps.
Your specs are capable of giving you a great experience. Possibly try a different driver for your GPU. The latest isn’t always the greatest when it comes to drivers.
Also, you might want to look at some of the articles on tweaking settings on your GPU driver as well.
Could you post your settings?
Are you running the game in 4K or 1080p? Settings high or ultra?
